ADAC GT Masters and their support series have had to reissue their 2020 schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The season will still contain 7 race weekends, but instead of being run over five months, it will all happen in just under three months.
The new start to the season will be in the Czech Republic at Most – or potentially Lausitzring if there are limitations to the entry to the country, before Nürburgring, Zandvoort, Hockenheim and Sachsenring stick to their previously announced dates. Red Bull Ring has moved their June race to the first weekend of October, while Oschersleben has gone from being the opening round in April, to the final race of the year, late October.
There are still changes possibe, in case the restrictions around Europe stay in place.
The ADAC TCR Germany will continue the ADAC GT Masters throughout the full season, while ADAC GT4 Germany are certain to compete at the final five rounds, with the uncertainly of the opening race being Round 1 or Round 2 of their 2020 schedule. ADAC Formula 4 will stick to Nürburgring, Zandvoort, Hockenheim, Red Bull Ring and Oschersleben, plus they will be running at the Nürburgring 24 Hours race – but just on the short circuit, and not the full Nordschleife.
The new schedule looks like this:
31.07. – 02.08.2020 Autodrom Most or Lausitzring
14.08. – 16.08.2020 Nürburgring
21.08. – 23.08.2020 Circuit Zandvoort
