Lots of changes in Formula E

The musical chairs in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship has started. It’s not for the current season, but for the upcoming Season 7, where there will changes at several teams. James Calado will no longer race for Panasonic Jaguar Racing, but will be replaced by his countryman Sam Bird. Bird leaves Envision Virgin Racing, after doing all 6 Formula E seasons for the outfit. Day two at Paul Ricard

The European Le Mans Series continued the test sessions prior to the opening round of the year at Paul Ricard. The day was overshadowed but a violent crash for Katherine Legge in the Richard Mille Racing Team LMP2 car, that we have reported about here. That meant that the 4th session was shortened by just over an hour, which was added to the fifth session instead. Katherine Legge hospitalized after crash

Katherine Legge has gone to hospital, following a violent crash at the European Le Mans Series test at Paul Ricard. The Brit crashed at high speed at the Signes corner, and hit the armco. The official update from the European Le Mans Series explains that she was conscious all the time, and the the extraction team did a swift and effective job of getting her out of the car, and getting her to the medical centre at the circuit.
