Rinaldi Racing will bring some of the very best drivers for this year’s Asian Le Mans Series, which will start next month.
Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo #5 will have Davide Rigon sharing the car with David Perel and Rino Mastronardi. Perel was part of Kessel Racing in both the Michelin Le Mans Cup and European Le Mans Series throughout the 2020 season, while Mastronardi won the LMC championship with Iron Lynx, and made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans too.
The three drivers are certainly amongst the championship favourites, if you thinking about laptimes alone, that all of them can do. So it’s all about staying out of troubles throughout the races.
The second entry for the team, car #66, will have Christian Hook, Manuel Lauck and Patrick Kujala behind the wheel. Hook and Lauck won the 24 Hours of Spa in 2019, Kujala won the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. These three names might not ring a bell to many sportscar fans, but they might still be a positive surprise, since the team have plenty of knowledge of finding the right setup.
The Asian Le Mans Series starts on 13-14 February at Dubai Autodrome.
