RWR joins forces with DCR

Rick Ware Racing will step into the NTT IndyCar Series 2021 with up to two cars.

The American team has joined forces with Dale Coyne Racing, who will rename their classic car numbers #19 and #55 to the RWR favourites #51 and #52.

The two parties already worked together for the Indianapolis 500 race in 2020, where James Davison was racing.

Car #51 will be a full season car, while #52 will be for selected races, in including the Indianapolis 500.

Rick Ware Racing has NASCAR as their primary racing series, but went into the sportscar world in winter 2019/20, where they won the Asian Le Mans Series. They had an entry for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but had to miss that one due to the COVID-19 situation. They are running in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship too, where they are working together with Eurasia Motorsport.

Dale Coyne Racing with RWR haven’t mentioned any of the drivers yet, but at least one of their drivers are expected to be announced this coming week.

The NTT IndyCar Series 2021 is scheduled to start on 15 April at Barber Motorsports Park.
