Precote Herberth Motorsport with two cars

Precote Herberth Motorsport will run a pair of Porsche 911 GT3 R cars in the ADAC GT Masters 2021.

The Championship winning outfit from 2018 will bring their traditional #99, driven by Robert Renauer and Sven Müller. Renauer is part owner of the team, together with his twin brother Alfred, and it was Robert who won the 2018 title alongside Matthieu Jaminet. Müller has been a bit in and out of ADAC GT Masters, having previously raced for the team in 2017. Müller and Renauer raced together for most of the 2020 season as well, until a date clash at the season finale, so Jaminet had to step in at Oschersleben.

The team worked together with HB Racing during the 2020 season, running their Ferrari 488 GT3. The red car has been swapped for another Porsche, taking over another driving combination, that shared a car too last year .

Simona De Silvestro and Klaus Bachler will move over from KÜS Team75 Bernhard, and will continue to race together at Precote Herberth Motorsport. The combo showed some good speed, but were unlucky with some clashes on track, and other issues, so they lost out on their podium opportunities.

The current ADAC GT Masters schedule will prevent De Silvestro from taking part in the opening round, since she will be at the Indianapolis 500 in the USA, trying to qualify for the race, that same weekend. That programme was announced a few months ago, and has first priority. So there might be a chance for Alfred to put on the helmet during that weekend.

Both Alfred and Robert Renauer had already been behind the wheel this season – and even with big success. They won the Asian Le Mans Series together with Ralf Bohn. That season was run over four races in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in February. The team has secured an entry to the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the very first time. They will however run a Ferrari, since they weren’t able to get hold of a Porsche for that race – and they do have last years HB Racing car in the garage, that can be converted to GTE specification. That option isn’t possible with a Porsche 911, that is either specific GT3 or specific GTE version.

The ADAC GT Masters 2021 is scheduled to start on 14-16 May in Oschersleben.
