Mustang Sampling hires Westbrook

Richard Westbrook is back in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

The Brit will be racing the upcoming season for JDC-Miller Motorsports in the Mustang Sampling Cadillac #5 in the DPi category.

He will be sharing the car with Tristan Vautier for the full 2022 season. They will be joined by Loic Duval at the four Michelin Endurance Cup rounds. Duval was a full-season driver throughout the 2021 season, but his Peugeot Sport FIA WEC contract prevents a full IMSA season.

Ben Keating will join the trio at Daytona. The American has had quite a few wild projects during the race at Daytona, and has raced in two very different cars during the 24 hours race itself, several times.

Westbrook is a veteran in the IMSA series, having raced in both DP and DPi, but also GTLM/GTE for teams like Corvette Racing and Ford Chip Ganassi Racing.

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship 2022 starts on the last weekend of January, with the 24 hours classic at Daytona International Speedway.
