Hardpoint will run two well-known faces and two brand new faces to the team, when the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship starts at  Daytona International Speedway in two weeks time. Team WRT had an amazing rookie season in the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship, and will double their effort for the upcoming 2022 season. The team was all-dominating in both the FIA WEC and European Le Mans Series, despite it being their very first season with ORECA 07 Gibson cars. Inter Europol Competition is slowly getting ready for their second season in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The team is ready to announce all three drivers for the upcoming 2022 season. Jakub “Kuba” Smiechowski and Alex Brundle will be joined by a new third driver onboard the ORECA 07 Gibson #34 LMP2 car. That will be none other than the former Formula 1 driver Esteban Gutierrez. Return of six RLL drivers

BMW Team RLL has announced the drivers for the 2022 edition of the 24 hours race in Daytona. Six of the 2021 drivers has been called back once again, but there is a shakeup in the pairings. The team ran in the four 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship races which counted towards the Michelin Endurance Cup. That was in the now-defunct GTLM category with their BMW M8 GTE model.
