Hardpoint with two old and two new drivers

Hardpoint will run two well-known faces and two brand new faces to the team, when the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship starts at  Daytona International Speedway in two weeks time.

Rob Ferriol and Katherine Legge will be sharing Porsche 911 GT3 R #99 for the full 2022 season, just like they ended up doing for most of the 2021 season.

They will have Stefan Wilson as the third driver at the four Michelin Endurance Cup races in the season. Wilson is the younger brother of Justin Wilson, and has been an Indy 500 competitor on several occasions himself, but this will be his first Daytona 24. He hasn’t previously raced in the IMSA series either, so he will have to fit into the new car and the new series.

The fourth driver at Daytona will be Nick Boulle. Boulle has been on the podium at the 24 hours race several times, but is busy in the family company, so will have to do with this single race event for now.

The quartet will be behind the wheel of the Porsche GTD car next week, with three days of testing and a qualifying race, prior to the actual 24 hours race, that will run on 29-30 January.
