WeatherTech Racing has made a slight change to their 2022 plans. The team previous announced, that they would run the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with a Porsche 911 GT3 R throughout the full 2022 season. They did however add a Mercedes-AMG GT3 for both the Daytona 24 Hours and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Common for both races, was that Cooper MacNeil raced both cars, joined by Porsche and Mercedes works drivers respectively. The choice is now the Mercedes #97 for the rest of 2022.
