Team Peugeot TotalEnergies has announced their driver line-up for their two brand new Hypercars.
Car #93 will be driven by Paul Di Resta, Mikkel Jensen and Jean-Eric Vergne, while James Rossiter, Gustavo Menezes and Loic Duval will pilot car #94.
The team has used the springtime for testing their brand new 9X8, which will get its race debut at Monza on 10 July.
The car will be like the Toyota Gazoo Racing car with a hybrid system, with a four-wheel-drive being activated, once that kicks in. With the current BOP for Toyota, that happens at 190 kph, but can be adjusted both up or down for the upcoming races.
Kevin Magnussen was originally scheduled to race for the team, but when he was offered a Formula 1 comeback with HAAS, he decided to go in that direction, and skip the sportscar programme. That has moved James Rossiter into a race driving position, after originally only being meant to have a job as a test- and simulator driver.
