TDS Racing with at least two cars in IMSA 2023

TDS Racing has confirmed, that they will enter at least two cars in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship 2023.

The French outfit has been part of the very best LMP2 teams for the past many years, and has run several teams under other names as well, like Racing Team Nederland and G-Drive Racing.

The team has confirmed that Francois Heriau will be driving one of the cars, while Steven Thomas will drive the other car.

Heriau was active in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Ultimate this season – which is run by TDS Racing too, but was a part of the SRT41 car at Le Mans in 2021, where he had two co-drivers who both ran hand controls, while the French driver himself used the regular pedals in the car. That car was also run by TDS Racing.

Thomas has had a double IMSA and FIA WEC programme for the 2022 season, where he drove for PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports and Algarve Pro Racing respectively. Thomas won the LMP2 Pro/Am category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans back in June 2022.

There is a chance of a third car, if Racing Team Nederland returns to the IMSA series in 2023, which is still up in the air.

None of their co-drivers are currently confirmed.

The 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season starts at Daytona International Speedway in January.
