Toyota Gazoo Racing will enter the 2023 season with stability around the team
The defending World Champions in the FIA World Endurance Championship will stick to the exact same six drivers for the upcoming season.
Jose Maria Lopez, Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi will share car #7, while World Champions Sebastien Buemi, Ryo Hirakawa and Brendon Hartley share car #8.
The team did make some changes in car #8 prior to the 2022 season, when Kazuki Nakajima announced his retirement, and was replaced by Hirakawa. The young Japanese driver was quite nervous at the start of the year, but did withstand the pressure, and drove a solid season, which ended up being crowned World Champion in Bahrain, earlier this month.
There were rumours about the team bringing a new car for 2023. But that is not the case, and the GR010 Hybrid will continue, with some very slight modifications to it, just like it was done prior to the 2022 season.
The 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship season starts at Sebring on March 17.
