Romain Grosjean will return to the sportscar world this coming season, with the Swiss-French driver signing a contract with Lamborghini.
The first task will be for Iron Lynx during the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January 2023, where he will be sharing a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 with Andrea Caldarelli and Mirko Bortolotti. There will be more races later in the year, but that will be announced in due course.
Grosjean will continue to race in the NTT IndyCar Series with his programme at Andretti Autosport throughout 2023, so this is a supplement to that programme.
He will also be helping out with the new LMDh development for Lamborghini, which will make its debut in 2024, just like he will have a race seat in the programme.
Romain Grosjean has previously raced in sportscars, when he drove for Matech and their Ford GT in 2010 in FIA GT, plus the 24 Hours of Le Mans. But he is most commonly known for his two turns of Formula 1, with a lot of race starts on the CV.
The 24 hours race in Daytona will run on 28-29 January 2023.
