The European Le Mans Series will be finishing the 2023 season off with two races at Autodromo Internacional do Algarve.
That is the decision, following the cancellation of Imola, announced earlier this week.
The Michelin Le Mans Cup will add a race weekend at Aragon in Spain, as a support to the ELMS – a round they weren’t meant to do originally.
The cancelation of Imola is down to renovation of the pit- and paddock area, which hasn’t been finished on schedule, so both ELMS and LMC teams can’t be able to roll into the venue.
So that confirms, that the selected ELMS teams, who will participate at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, only have a single race as preparation, head of the prestigious race.
The opening rounds of both the ELMS and LMC will be run next weekend at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain.
