Lorenzo Fluxa will move from one European Le Mans Series team to another.
The 20 year old Spaniard made his debut in sportscar racing for COOL Racing in 2024 in the LMP2 category, but he will race for Algarve Pro Racing in 2025.
Fluxa got a dream debut in ELMS, when he won the opening round in 2024 in Barcelona alongside Ritomo Miyata and Malthe Jakobsen. A lot of factors resulting them in only returning to the podium at the final race of the year in Portimao in Portugal with another win, but the three drivers were amongst the fastest in the LMP2 category.
Miyata will be focusing on the FIA Formula 2 in 2025, where is had a dual programme in 2024, while Jakobsen will be actice as well in the FIA World Endurance Championship as works driver for Peugeot TotalEnergies.
Fluxa will be racing car #25, which he will share with Matthias Kaiser, and a not yet announced third driver. Fluxa has been upgraded to Gold ranked Driver, while Swiss racer Kaiser remains Silver. So all options are open in regards to the third driver in the LMP2 category, where there needs to be a minimum of one Silver ranked driver, and maximum one Platinum ranked – unless you just choose to run two good Gold driver.
Alexander Lynn and Olli Caldwell was paired up with Kaiser in Algarve Pro Racing #25 during the 2024. Caldwell has moved into car #20 for the team in LMP2 Pro/Am, while Lynn so far only is announced in the FIA WEC for Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA.
The European Le Mans Series 2025 starts on 6 April at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain.
