Esteban Masson has been called back to participate with the Akkodis ASP Lexus outfit at the FIA World Endurance Championship, when the 6 Hours of Imola will be held later this month.
He replaces Ben Barnicoat, who has been unlucky to have a crash on his mountain bike during a training session. So he will miss out on the second round of the 2025 season, just as he missed the Sebring 12 Hours in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship last month.

French driver Masson did the 2024 season for the team in the FIA WEC, but since he has been upgraded from Silver to Gold in the FIA rankings this year, there was no longer a space left for him in the team, with Barnicoat as the Pro in one of the cars, and Jose Maria Lopez in the other.
Esteban Masson will be shahing car #78 with Finn Gehrsitz and Arnold Robin, who did very well at the season opener in Qatar, where the pair qualified the car third on the grid, while they finished fourth in the race, only 0,211 of a second off the podium.
Racing24-7.net wishes Ben Barnicoat a speedy recoery, and hope to see him back in a racing car very soon.
