Le Mans 2026 entry list revealed

24 Hours of Le Mans 2026 will once again see a 62-car grid entered.

The entry consists of 18 in the Hypercar category, 19 in LMP2, split into LMP2 and LMP2 Pro/Am, and 25 cars in LMGT3.

The Hypercar field consists of the 17 regular FIA WEC participants, being joined by Cadillac WTR, which are the Wayne Taylor Racing team from IMSA. They will be running Ricky Taylor, Jordan Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque, for the second year a in a row.

10 of the 19 LMP2 cars will run in the LMP2 Pro/Am category, with the defending winners with the fan favorite Spike at AO Racing #99 running for glory again. But lovers of fantasy animal race cars will have to do with Spike only, since the Rexy Porsche won’t be in the field this year. AO Racing had two auto-invites for the LMP2 category, but only opted to use one, plus they couldn’t get the second one converted to a LMGT3 entry.

The LMGT3 category has 7 aditional entries, to the regular 18 FIA WEC participants, but only three of those being allowed in, without an auto-invite.

That is Team Qatar by Iron Lynx Mercedes #62, who are active in the European Le Mans Series, Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin #59, who are active in ELMS, and Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari #150, who are active in ELMS.

The reserve list consists of 9 cars in total, but it’s very unlikely for any of these teams to get the call-up these days, with the teams being much more well funded and reliable, compared to 15-20 years ago, where there would be quite a dropout, some of the years.

The most disappointed on the reserve list might be GR Racing Ferrari #86, who are ELMS regulars, but only reserves for the second year in a row. Cetilar Racing #47 will for sure be disappointed too, being so close to ALMS glory, and the dream of father and son Roberto and Nicola Lacorte being scheduled for the drive.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans 2026 will be run on 13-14 June.
