All seats are taken for the upcoming 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship.
Heart of Racing Team was the final team to announce all their drivers.
The American team had only listed Gray Newell and Ian James on the entry list, for the two Aston Martin Vantage LMGT3 cars.
Newell is new to the FIA WEC, but has raced for the team in GT World Challenge America. He will be joined by Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello in car #23, together with super-experienced Jonny Adam.
Barrichello raced for Racing Spirit of Leman in 2025, and took a podium spot at his home race in Brazil, as well as showing impressive speed at other events.
Adam hasn’t raced in the FIA WEC since 2020, having been busy in the European Le Mans Series and British GT amongst other programmes.

Car #27 will remain unchanged with Ian James, Zacherie Robichon, and Mattia Drudi. This driver combo finished on the podium at the 2025 season finale in Bahrain, and was very close to claiming third in the championship standings.
James enters his fourth full season in the FIA WEC, after he jumped into the Aston Martin GTE car halfway through 2022, following Paul Dalla Lana announcing his departure. James had to continue racing under the previous team name, until it was fully branded as Heart of Racing Team for the 2023 season.
Robichon has been part of the team for a few years now, so he is a FIA WEC veteran, having previously raced in a Porsche.
Drudi started in the series in 2025, having raced in GT World Challenge for a few years as a Aston Martin works driver.
The full entry list, with all driver named confirmed, can be found here.
The FIA WEC 2026 starts at Lusail International Circuit in Qatar with the 1812 kilometers or 10 hour race on 28 March.
