The GMR-001 car has done a lot of test mileage over the past months, so they feel very well prepared with the ORECA based LMDh car.
While the chassis is resonably well-known, since it’s already been used as the spine for the Alpine and Acura LMDh cars, it’s an all new V8 twin turbo engine, with a background in the rally world, where the parent company Hyundai has a lot of expertise.
The FIA World Endurance Championship 2026 starts on 19 April at Imola in Italy, with testing and qualifying sessions in the days prior.
