Akkodis ASP Lexus enters the 2026 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with two different color schemes.
The French outfit has opted for two variations of the regular black and red liveries, that they run for the rest of the FIA World Endurance Championship season.

Car #78 will be mainly orange – almost McLaren Papaya – but not quite. It matches the orange in the Akkodis logo. The car will be driven by full-season drivers Tom van Rompuy and Hadrien David, while Esteban Masson will be replaced by Jack Hawksworth. Masson is on duty for Forestier Racing by Panis in the LMP2 category, which has priority over his full season FIA WEC gig.

Car #87 with Jose Maria Lopez, Clemans Schmid, and Petru Umbrarescu could very quickly end up with the nickname Kermit. The green colors match their colors of Minerva Oil, so there is an extra focus on their two big sponsors on the cars. The team are surely hoping for Lopez actually being able to compete for the team at Le Mans this year. He was called up as a late replacement for Mike Conway at Toyota Racing in 2024, when the Brit broke his collar bone – with the exact same thing happening for Circuit of The Americas in 2025, where Conway once again had fallen off his road bike during training.
Akkodis ASP Lexus has had a mixed start to the 2026 season. They were super fast at both Imola and Spa Francorchamps, but hasn’t really clocked up a lot of points. Both cars retires within a matter of minutes of each other in Italy, while the #78 scored Pole Position at Spa, with them retiring in the race. Car #87 finished the race in 6th, but had surely hoped for more, having started P4. So both cars needs some very big points finishes at Circuit de la Sarthe, or their championship aspirations could already be over.
All 62 cars will be running on 7 June 2026 for the test day, with the 24-hour race itself being run on 13-14 June.
