Alex Lynn has been forced into skipping the 2026 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The Brit was originally slated to race for Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA #12, but he is not able to drive at the moment, due to a planned treatment to his neck.
Lynn already missed the FIA World Endurance Championship rounds at Imola and Spa Francorchamps, and the plan was to make a comeback at Le Mans.

That has forced Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA into finding a replacement, in the shape of Louis Deletraz. Deletraz has experience with the Cadillac V-Series.R from the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, where he is competing with Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing for the last couple of seasons. Ironically, the WTR is present at Le Mans this year too, but Deletraz wasn’t part of that selection, that went to the brothers Jordan and Ricky Taylor plus Filipe Albuquerque.
French racer Deletraz made his Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA debut at Spa Francorchamps, where he finished 9th alongside Will Stevens and Norman Nato.
Deletraz was meant to have raced Le Mans for AO Racing #99 in the LMP2 category. He will be replaced by James Allen. Allen has great LMP2 experience for several different teams. He is currently active in the European Le Mans Series for Nielsen Racing, but isn’t part of their Le Mans line-up for 2026.
Alex Lynn had Pole Position at the 2025 edition of the 24 hours classic, so he will miss out on defending that achievement.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans 2026 will be run on 13-14 June, with testing and qualifying happening in the days leading up to it.
