Asian Le Mans Series and Asian Le Mans Cup 2026/27 will be a very something out of the norm.
The racing won’t happen in Asia, but will instead be run in Europe-only.
The change is down to the situation in the Middle East, which has made it impossible for the series to race in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Those two venues has hosted two of the three rounds for the last fea years. It was a tradition that started during the COVID-19, which made it impossible to travel all over Asia. That had been the norm for the Asian Le Mans Series for many years until that happened.
The series will be consist of 6 rounds, split into three locations in the south of Europe.

The series will start on 13-15 November at Circuti Paul Ricard, in the south of France.
15-17 January will be held at Circuito de Jerez Angel Nieto in the south of Spain, with the Finale of the year being run on 19-21 February at Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in the south of Portugal
There is a lot of other racing series, who has had to change their plans too. We have seen Formula 1 move their Bahrain race to Malaysia at the Sepang Circuit – at track well known in the Asian Le Mans Series. But it has also been important of the series, to avoid date clashes with big races like the Daytona 24 Hours in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and Bathurst 12 Hours.
The organizers behind the Asian Le Mans Series, ACO og SRO, has planned the 2026/27 series to consist of Hypercar, LMP2 and GT3. In addition to that, the new Asian Le Mans Cup will consist of LMP3 and GT3 cars in a sprint format, that we know from the Michelin Le Mans Cup.
The events will be run under the Winter Le Mans Series banner, which a hope of being able to return to Asian once again for the 2027/28 season.
