Matt Campbell won the Saturday Round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in Mexico. The 22 year-old Australian started the race from P2, in a sandwich between the two title candidates, Dennis Olsen on Pole Position and Michael Ammermüller in P3. Olsen made a small mistake on the second lap of the race, losing two positions, and dropping behind both Campbell and Ammermüller. It was an unusual start to the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup weekend at Monza, when the 9th round of this years Championship was held at the Italian high speed circuit. Due to heavy rain yesterday, the starting grid was set on the practice times that was run on Friday. Dennis Olsen started for second consecutive day from Pole Position on Spa Francorchamps, but today it was with Nick Yelloly in second, followed by Michael Ammermüller. He will participate in a brand new factory build Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car in the big international series.
