Close morning qualifying at Lime Rock

The WeatherTech SportsCar Championship delivered an amazingly close qualifying, when the 18 cars were battling for the starting positions for today’s race at Lime Rock Park. Wright Motorsports #58 with Patrick Long took the honours in GTD, grabbing the first Pole Position for the team, and the first for Porsche in GTD in 2018. When the 2018 season is over, it will be a goodbye to a very iconic sponsor, who has not only been on race cars for the last nine seasons, but also been supporters for several race series. Exciting ELMS quali in Austria – updated

The qualifying for the 4 hours at the Red Bull Ring was held on a bone-dry track, after it was raining in the early Saturday practice. The GTE cars were first on track for their 10 minutes of qualifying, and Track limits quickly became the theme, with Spirit of Race Ferrari #55, and Proton Competition Porsche #77, and #88 being amongst those losing a lap or more.
