Porsche back on Pole

Porsche #92 with Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre is back on Pole Position after all, in today’s FIA World Endurance Championship race at Spa Francorchamps.

The pairing was on Pole Position, as the chequered flag was shown in the Qualifying, but a message popped up shortly after, that the lap of Estre was under investigation. One hour after the end of qualifying, there was a stewards decision – lap deleted. And since that was his only flying lap, there was no average to be counted between the two drivers, and they were demoted to last.

But things has developed since then, ending up being another change of results.

It was announced this morning, that four of the 33 laps deleted in qualifying was not deemed illegal.

That brings back a lap to Team Project 1 Porsche #56, TF Sport Aston Martin #90, plus Porsche #91 and #92, after being reviewed by video once again.

It has the biggest effect on Porsche #92, which moves from last, back on Pole – including scoring a bonus point for having taken Pole Position.

The race starts today at 13.30 CET.
