JOTA has chosen to change the team colors once again for the 2023 season.
The British outfit has changed their liveries many times, depending on the sponsor that they have had, with a range of white, orange, red, and most recently green.
Both their brand new Porsche 963 Hypercar and the ORECA 07 Gibson LMP2 will be in gold for 2023.
The team has got Hertz as the title sponsor in the Hypercar category, but Porsche hasn’t been able to deliver the new car just yet, due to a shortage of the hybrid system from the single manufacturer. So the team will run an LMP2 car for at least the opening round at Sebring in two weeks’ time.
Antonio Felix da Costa, Yifei Ye, and Will Stevens will be sharing the Hypercar, but until then, Felix da Costa will be replaced by David Beckmann, since a Silver-ranked driver is mandatory in the LMP2 category.
Car #28 will have an interesting combination of Oliver Rasmussen, David Heinemeier Hansson and Pietro Fittipaldi.
DHH and Fittipaldi already know each other, having raced together for the 2022 ELMS season at Inter Europol Competition. On top of that, DHH has already raced for JOTA, when they ran under the Jackie Chan DC Racing banner, doing two Le Mans races together, and a couple of FIA WEC rounds too.
Oliver Rasmussen raced for the team last year, so he already knows the team and the mechanics.
The 2023 FIA WEC season starts on 17 March with the 1000 Miles løbet of Sebring.
