UA got car 22 sorted for Le Mans

United Autosports has named the three drivers, who are going to participate in this years 24 Hours of Le Mans

The 2024 edition will have Oliver Jarvis, Bijoy Garg, and Nolan Siegel behind the wheel of the ORECA 07 Gibson #22 in the LMP2 category.

Jarvis has been a part of UA for several years on/off, and is one of the full season ELMS drivers this year, competing in the LMP2 Pro/Am rankings alongside Daniel Schneider and Andy Meyrick.

Garg is also participating in ELMS, but in one of the “Pro” cars, which he shares with Fabio Scherer and Paul Di Resta. Di Resta will be driving for Peugeot TotalEnergies, while the defending winner of the LMP2 category with Inter Europol Competition, Scherer, doesn’t have a seat for the 24 hours classic yet.

Siegel was part of the Sean Creech Motorsport outfit at the Daytona 24 hours this year, so UA got an impression of the young American as a competitor. Siegel is doing a lot of things this year, with a full season in IndyNXT, in addition to four starts in the NTT IndyCar Series, including the Indy 500, which will be run later this month.

There have been a few changes in the line-ups for UA over the past few months. First the plan was for Filipe Albuquerque to be in this car, with two TBA’s, and then he was moved over to car #23, which is racing in the LMP2 Pro/Am, alongside Ben Keating and Ben Hanley.

Their 2024 line-ups are not as settled in as in the past at United Autosports, with the LMP2 category no longer being part of the full FIA World Endurance Championship. If it was, the drivers would already have been set a long time ago. In addition to that, their ELMS and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship line-ups are a mix of a lot of drivers, who already have other tasks in the FIA WEC.

The 2024 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be run on 15-16 June.
