Harry Tincknell has extended with Ford Chip Ganassi Racing UK.
The Brit has been part of the Ford GT #67, and was part of their first podium in FIA WEC 2 months ago at Spa Francorchamps. At Le Mans the car was unlucky to be the worst positioned of the 4, after getting gearbox troubles even before the green flag.
Originally the contracted ended after the Le Mans race, but has now been extended to run until the end of the season.
Ford Chip Ganassi Racing UK is leading the FIA World Endurance Cup for GT drivers with car 66 with Olivier Pla, Billy Johnson, and Stefan Mücke behind the wheel, however #67 is also quite good positioned with a current 6th place, with Tincknell and teammates Marino Franchitti and Andy Priaulx.
The FIA WEC programme with Ford isn’t the only job for Tincknell this year. He contiues to drive for G-Drive Racing in #38 in the ELMS series, where he is currently leading the LMP2 championship together with Simon Dolan and Giedo Van Der Garde. Their next round will be held next weekend at the Red Bull Ring.
