Felix Rosenqvist replaces Esteban Ocon in DTM

Swede Felix Rosenqvist will take over Esteban Ocon’s DTM seat from Moscow onwards, since Ocon will do the rest of his racing season for Manor Racing in Formula 1.

Rosenqvist has been a season long test- and reserve driver for Mercedes in DTM, so he already has a lot of experience behind the wheel of the Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM car.

Rosenqvist has been part of the Mercedes family for many seasons now, and among that he has won the Formula 3 race in Macau twice in a Mercedes powered car. Furthermore he won the FIA Formula 3 European Championship in 2015.

Ocon hasn’t had a great DTM debut season, where he only scored 2 points in the first 10 races of the year. Ocon has proven his speed in single seaters all the way up to Formula 1, and has been testing for both Mercedes and Renault in Formula 1 this season.

Felix Rosenqvist will get his real DTM race debut in one and a half weeks at the DTM Races at Moscow Raceway on August 20th-21st.
