Jackie Chan DC Racing X JOTA have all 6 drivers ready

Jackie Chan DC Racing X JOTA has made an almost full change of the line-up for the upcoming FIA World Endurance Championship 2018/19 season.

Ho-Pin Tung is the only remaining 2017 driver, who returns for the team. Instead there will be a lot of “Asian” drivers, who raced in the Asian Le Mans Series 2017/18.

Car #37 will be an all Malaysian team with Jazeman Jaafar, Weiron Tan and Afiq Ikhwan Yazid, while Nabil Jeffri also is connected to the car. This line-up in the #FortuneCat37 ran the second half of the Asian LMS season. The project has a lot of attention in Malaysia, and the drivers are heavily supported by the Malaysian motorsport federation.

#Mighty38 will be driven by the previously mentioned Ho-Pin Tung, as well as Gabriel Aubry and Stephane Richelmi. Car #38 was very close at grabbing the 2017 LMP2 title with Tung, Oliver Jarvis and Thomas Laurent, but technical issues at the final round made it impossible for them to battle Rebellion Racing on pace. But there was nothing decided until the chequered flag fell in Bahrain in November 2017.

Aubry was part of Jackie Chan DC Racing X JOTA in the LMP3, where he was helping the full season crew winning the title. Richelmi won the LMP2 title, so both are already known by the team, and have proven their race pace.

All 6 drivers will be in the cars for the first time at the FIA WEC Prologue, which is being run at Paul Ricard.
