While the opening round of the ADAC GT Masters was run in sunshine, the Sunday race was run under a thick cloud cover at the Oschersleben track. Lamborghini had taken Pole Position with the GRT Grasser Racing Team #82 ahead ORANGE1 by GRT Grasser #63 and Phoenix Racing Audi #6. Round 3 of this year’s WeatherTech SportsCar Championship was run in Long Beach, where the narrow street course made the 100 minutes of racing to somewhat of a lottery. It was a very eventful opening race, when the European Le Mans Series drove their first race of the year at Paul Ricard in the south of France. IDEC Sport #28 started from Pole Position in the LMP2 category while M.Racing – YMR #19 had been the fastest car in the LMP3 category. The ADAC Formula 4 held their opening round at Oschersleben near Magdeburg, and it was in mixed weather conditions. The track dried more and more for every session that was run.
