DragonSpeed returns to Daytona

The DragonSpeed outfit has confirmed their entry to the Daytona 24 Hours in January 2019. They will bring their ORECA 07 Gibson LMP2 car for the season opener in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and will therefore do the three major sportscar races in the world – the Daytona 24 Hours, Sebring 1000 Miles and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The two latter count towards the FIA World Endurance Championship, where they run their LMP1 BR Engineering car, but it’s not impossible that they will enter the Sebring 12 Hours…

VLN 2019 schedule presented

The VLN series has announced its race schedule for 2019. It’s going to be a few intensive weeks in the spring and fall, because there needs to be room in the middle of the season for the Nürburgring 24 Hours, which most of the VLN teams will run too. There is a qualifying race for the 24 hours on the long Nordschleife, where the team needs to run too.
