There will be at least one car on the entry list for the Asian Le Mans Series, that absolutely will catch your eyes.
Viper Niza Racing will enter their second season in the Asian LMS with a completely different colour scheme on their car, compared to what they raced with last season.
Some might say that it’s slightly inspired by Extreme Speed Motorsports in the IMSA series, without having their now former title sponsor on the car.
But the black and green colours look really good on the #65 Ligier JS P3.
Team owner Douglas Khoo will share the car with Nigel Moore, who joined the outfit in the second part of the 2017/18 season, and did a really good job, in getting much more speed into the car. There are no current plans of adding a full season third driver, but we will have to see how things develop over the season. There is, of course, the 6 hour race in Thailand later in the season, so the question is, when will they start to integrate the third driver needed for that race.
The team has their background in Malaysia, which hosts the season finale of the Asian LMS in February.
But they don’t have to wait that long, for the season to start, since the opening round of the Asian Le Mans Series 2018/19 will be run next weekend in the Chinese city of Shanghai.
