The first race of the 2018/19 ABB FIA Formula E Championship season was run in the capital city of Saudi Arabia, in the Ad Diriyah area. 22 cars were lined up, on a starting grid that looked very different compared to when the qualifying ended earlier in the day. Close opening round in Riyadh

It was a slightly messy, but close first round of the Jaguar I-PACE eTrophy in Ad Diriyah in Saudi Arabia. Due to rain, the qualifying session was cancelled, and instead we had the times from the practice deciding the starting positions. Unfortunately there were only 12 cars entered, but still enough to give some good racing. Simon Evans started on Pole Position ahead of Bryan Sellers and Sergio Jimenez. Chaotic Formula E Qualifying

It was a chaotic start to the ABB FIA Formula E Championship Qualifying, at the opening round of Season 2018/19 in Ad Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. It had been raining throughout the morning, which made the track very slippery, when it got mixed up with all the desert dust, blowing onto the circuit. FP1 was just cancelled straight away, and FP2 only gave them limited running. Edoardo Mortara had a crash, which cut even more off the time.
