The qualifying of the first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship was run under beautiful blue sky and 23 degrees temperature at Daytona International Speedway. The track was dried up after a huge rain and thunderstorm Thursday morning local time, providing a nice condition for the quali. The GTD cars were the first to get 15 minutes on the track. Algarve Pro Racing announces 2019 ELMS drivers

Algarve Pro Racing are quick out of the blocks with their 2019 driver announcements for the European Le Mans Series. Two of the three are very well known faces at the Portuguese team, while they have a job of getting a new driver in LMP2 cars, up to speed. TF Sport have their 2019 driver line-up ready for the British GT. That will be a good mix of new and old at the British team with the blue cars. Berthon hired by Rebellion

Nathanael Berthon has signed a contract with Rebellion Racing. That was announced by the team in a press release today. The 29 year-old Frenchman has signed with the team for the rest of the FIA World Endurance Championship 2018/19 and the full 2019/20 season. He will be driving car #3, where a yet unnamed driver will have to leave the seat. The British RLR MSport team has signed Christian Stubbe Olsen, Martin Vedel Mortensen and Martin Rich for the upcoming 2019 European Le Mans Series. That brings us another Dane Train in international sportscar racing. Olsen got his debut in ELMS in 2018 for Ecurie Ecosse/Nielsen, and currently races in the Asian Le Mans Series.
