Asian Le Mans Series gets new boss

Asian Le Mans Series will have a new boss.

Cyrille Taesch Wahlen has been responsible for the series since 2015, and has lifted it from a series with less than 10 entrants divided into four categories to an absolute peak in 2021, with 36 entries in three categories.

Taesch Wahlen has been involved in ACO for even more seasons, but he has chosen to leave the organization for now.

His replacement will be Frederic Lequien, who is the CEO of the European Le Mans Series and FIA World Endurance Championship too. Lequien took that job on 1 January 2021, when Gerard Neveu stepped down.

The Asian Le Mans Series has yet to release the schedule for the 2021/22 season, but that is very dependant on travel restrictions in the Asian countries, where the series hopes to return, instead of the 2020/21 season, that ended up being on February 2021 series only in the Middle East.
