TF Sport has finalized their drivers for this year’s FIA World Endurance Championship, in regards to the Aston Martin #33.
It’s been known for a long time, that Ben Keating would be returning for another season in the blue car, while his co-drivers were TBA.
The Texan will be joined by none other than Aston Martin works driver Marco Sørensen as a new teammate. The Dane has won the GTE Pro title two times, and will hopefully help Keating secure the first GTE Am Championship. Sørensen will be in a direct competition to his old GTE Pro mate Nicki Thiim in Northwest AMR #98 next to Paul Dalla Lana and David Pittard.
The final driver in car #33 will be Florian Latorre. The French driver made his FIA WEC debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2021, where he raced in one of the Proton Competition Porsche cars. He has raced thousands of kilometers in a Porsche, in both French, German and the big international Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. So this will be something brand new for him, with a front-engined car.
Keating, Sørensen and Latorre has their first race together with the first race together in the FIA World Endurance Championship on 18 March 2022, while the testing starts one week earlier at the very same Sebring International Raceway, Florida.
