Free entry for FIA WEC fans at Monza

The FIA WEC season is slowly starting up at Monza in three weeks time.

The Prologue, which is mandatory for all of the teams, will be held at the Italian track. Every team needs to attend with at least one car.

Out of the 28 cars full-season FIA WEC field, we will see 27 cars on the track near Milan. CEFC Manor TRS Racing will be there with one car only, and then collect all four drivers, who so far have been announced, in that single car.

The FIA World Endurance Championship proves ones again with this event, that they care a lot about their fans, and wanna be as fan friendly and open as possible.

There is free entry for all fans to the stands and the paddock area. There will be a small parking fee if you arrive at the track by car.

There will be a lot of driving over the two days – 8 hours on Saturday and 6 hours on Sunday. Furthermore there is a 30 minutes autograph session in the middle of Sunday, where it will be mandatory for all of the drivers to participate.

There will be a few absentees from the regular drivers in the FIA WEC series. Sebastien Buemi, Jose Maria Lopez, Nelson Piquet Jr, and Nico Prost will all be doing the FIA Formula E Championship on the same weekend.

Sam Bird is normally also driving Formula E, but his works driver contract with Ferrari in FIA WEC weights much higher than the electric series.

The FIA WEC will start for real two weeks later at Silverstone, but here there is a obligatory entry price at £50, but then you will get a free access to the paddock area.
