Keating Motorsport has the drivers ready for the 24 Hours Of Le Mans.
Team owner Ben Keating is joined by his co-driver for many years, Jeroen Bleekemolen, and Ricky Taylor as the third member.
With that line-up, the Riley Mk. 30 Gibson LMP2 car has one of the best driver line-ups regarding the pro drivers. The Riley Mk. 30 chassis is currently only run in the IMSA series with the Visit Florida team, but it is one of the 4 chassis’ chosen by the ACO to run in LMP2.
Keating and Bleekemolen were also a part of Le Mans in 2015 and 2016, where they had Marc Miller and Marc Goosens in the car respectively. On the first year it was in a Dodge Viper in GTE-Am, while Keating bought the Murphy Prototypes LMP2 car for the 2016 race.
The team thereby hope that third time’s the charm, since the first visits hadn’t been too successful.
Keating was behind the Viper programme in the ALMS through many years, because he has a big car dealer chain in USA where they sell Dodge amongst other brands. This year he participates in the IMSA Championship again, together with Bleekemolen, where he races a Mercedes-AMG GT3, which the dealerships will start selling from 2018 onwards.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans will be run on June 17th-18th with the mandatory test day 14 days prior.
