Michael Ammermüller got the perfect start to the season, when Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup started their season in Barcelona.
It was Australian Matt Campbell who started on Pole Position, but made a big mess of the start, so he was passed left and right towards turn 1. Campbell managed to crawl back to 5th which is a bit of a shame, when you are starting from first position.
Norwegian Dennis Olsen managed to grab second after a good overtaking on Dan Cammish from Great Britain.
Giovanni Berton had a short race, when he went off the track in turn 4 on lap 1, which resulted in a Safety Car period.
Roar Lindland and Ryan Cullen had a collision in the middle of the race, where Cullen was turned around and lost a lot of positions. Race control decided to award Norwegian Lindland with a 8 seconds penalty.
Two races are run at Circuit de Catalunya this weekend, and race two will start on Sunday 11.45 CET.
