Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK will keep both their driver line-ups in the upcoming FIA World Endurance Championship season 2018/19.
That means that Stefan Mücke and Olivier Pla stay in the#66, while Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell remain in car #67.
Rumours about Pla’s departure had started, but by this announcement, it became clear that they are untrue.
#67 was fighting for the World Championship title all the way until the chequered flag at the season finale in Bahrain, but ended in third position behind Ferrari and Porsche. Pla and Mücke finished 8th in the Drivers Championship.
Ford hasn’t announced their third drivers at Le Mans, neither have they announced if they will enter one or two extra cars for the Daytona 24 Hours in January, like they did in both 2016 and 2017. It is clear, however, that Oliver Pla won’t be a part of such potential line-up, since he is already has a contract with Tequila Patron ESM in the endurance rounds of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
The FIA WEC season starts in April with a Prologue at Paul Ricard, while the first race of the season will be run at Spa Francorchamps in the first weekend of May.
