Michelin Le Mans Cup held their pre-season test day Thursday, ahead of the season start on Saturday afternoon.
There was a practice session in the morning, and one in the afternoon for the 25 participating teams this weekend.
United Autosports #23 with John Schauerman and Wayne Boyd was the fastest in LMP3 during the first session, ahead of Cool Racing #69 with Maurice Smith sat Ben Barnicoat and Nielsen Racing #10 with Rob Hodes and Garett Grist. In the GT3 category was Kessel Racing Ferrari #74 with Michael Broniszewski and David Perel being the fastest car, ahead of Iron Lynx #8 with Giacomo Piccini and Rino Mastronardi, and Iron Lynx #77 with Claudio Schiavoni and Andrea Piccini.
The afternoon session had Kessel Racing Ferrari #67 with Murod Sultanov and Paolo Ruberti as the fastest GT3 car, ahead of it’s sister car #74 with Michael Broniszewski and David Perel, and Iron Lynx Ferrari #8 with Giacomo Piccini and Rino Mastronardi. The lone Mercedes in the field from IDEC Sport #17 with Eric Manis and Patrice Lafargue was last in both practices, while Pzoberer Zürichsee by TFT Porsche #2 with Nicolas Leutwiler and Julien Andlauer was even participating in any of the sessions.
United Autosports was also the fastest team in second practice, but that was car #24 with Daniel Schneider and Andrew Meyrick, ahead of MV2S Racing #27 with Christophe Cresp and Bruce Jouanny, and Motorsport98 #98 with Eric De Doncker and Dino Lunardi.
There is a single car with female entries this year in the LMC, with Michelle Gatting and Deborah Mayer in the Iron Lynx Ferrari #9. They were sixth fastest in both sessions, with Gatting setting the time in the morning session, and Mayer in the afternoon session.
The Michelin Le Mans Cup has two practice sessions during the Friday, before the Qualifying and Race will be run Saturday afternoon. The Qualifying can be viewed here, while the race is shown here.
