Indycar hurries to Mid-Ohio

The NTT IndyCar Series series will have to pack their trucks much sooner than originally planned.

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is ready to host two rounds this coming weekend.

The race was originally scheduled earlier in the season, but it was put on pause due to the COVID-19 situation in the area.

When the teams left World Wide Technology Raceway last weekend, it looked like a no-race September, with the next race being in Indianapolis in October. That race is still on the schedule, with another double round, before the season finale is planned for the final weekend of October.

The two extra races are good news for the spectators and TV-viewers, but not necessarily for the championship leader, Scott Dixon. He is currently 96 points ahead of Josef Newgarden in second place. But as long as Dixon can stay somewhere near Newgarden, he probably will still enjoy getting some mileage in a fast single-seater.

The two races in Mid-Ohio are scheduled for 11-12 September 2020.
