BMW confirms IMSA LMDh programme

BMW Motorsport has confirmed, that they will enter a new LMDh car in 2023. The German brand, however, has only confirmed their participation in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship so far. The North American market has a very special motorsport interest, since they have participated in the American Le Mans Series and IMSA, without competing in the European version, such as the European Le Mans Series or FIA World Endurance Championship. More changes to United Autosports

There is one more change amongst the drivers at United Autosports USA #22, for this week’s FIA World Endurance Championship race at Portimao. Fabio Scherer has been tested positive for COVID-19 twice within 48 hours, and that means that he can’t participate this weekend. Approximately 50.000 spectators allowed at Le Mans

Automobile Club de l’Ouest has announced, that there will be access for approximately 50.000 spectators at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. The race, which has been pushed back to 21-22 August 2021, will run at 20% capacity compared to normal years, since the COVID-19 still puts a damper on events. All spectators showing up to the track, will have to bring a Health Passport, to be able to get into the circuit.
