Toyota protest on Porsche rejected

Toyota Gazoo Racing put down a protest on both Porsche #1 and #2 at last weekends round of the FIA WEC at Nürburgring. The protest from Toyota was regarding personnel touching the car during refueling. The protest, however, was rejected, since the FIA WEC sporting regulations allow teams to clean the mirrors during refuelling, just like it is allowed to clean the wind shield, because it is about safety. Exciting qualifying in Austria

The qualifying for Round 3 of the European Le Mans Series was run today at the Austrian Red Bull Ring. The six cars in GTE was first out in the qualifying, where each category had 10 minutes each. There was a very close battle between all brands, and the times were changing each time a car crossed the line. There were plenty of actions when Round 7 of ADAC GT Masters was run in the Netherlands. Callaway Competition Corvette #77 started on Pole Position ahead of Aust Motorsport Audi #3, Mercedes-AMG Team Zakspeed #21 and GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini #19. That made it four different brands in the first four places, in the 27 cars big field in Zandvoort.
