AVF by Adrian Valles new LMP2 team

After 6 seasons solely in single seaters, the AVF by Adrian Valles team has chosen to start in endurance racing.

The Spanish team aims to participate in the European Le Mans Series in 2018, if they get an entry.

The team has participated in Formula Renault 2.0 and Formula Renault 3.5, in the various iterations during the last few years. Following Renault pulling out, the two following seasons have been very changeable. The organizers have chosen to close that series after the 2017 season.

That results in the AVF team having to find something new, if they shouldn’t go for Formula Renault 2.0 solely. They have worked with Dallara through the 3.5 series, so the choice was made on a Dallara P217 Gibson LMP2.

Team boss Adrian Valles has knowledge on endurance racing from himself racing for the Epsilon Euskadi team during the 2008 season, where Le Mans was part of the programme. So he has tried that part of the sport before, first handed.

Both their 2017 3.5 drivers, Egor Orudzhev og Matevos Isaakyan had a double programme, running in the ELMS with SMP Racing in a Dallara.

There isn’t any news regarding their driver line-up for the 2018 season.
