The starts have finally aligned for Conor Daly, who just signed a deal for the 103rd Indianapolis 500 in May 2019.
Daly has been a part of the newly named NTT IndyCar Series on-off since 2013, where he made his debut at Indy 500.
He will be competing in the 2019 edition for Andretti Autosport, where he will run in car #25, supported by the U.S. Air Force. In addition to the branding on Daly’s car, the four other Andretti Autosport cars will also have smaller logos throughout the season.
The deal between Daly and Andretti is purely for the Indianapolis 500 race, so it’s still unclear if he will do more Indycar races in 2019, or he will race in other series. He has been flirting with dirt track oval racing and NASCAR, so you never know where he will show up next.
The four other Andretti Autosport drivers, who by the way are full season drivers, are 2016 Indy 500 winner Alexander Rossi, 2012 Champion and 2014 Indy 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay plus Zach Veach and Marco Andretti.
The 103rd Indianapolis 500 will be run on Sunday 26 May.
