Risi ready for Daytona

Risi Competizione will enter the Daytona 24 Hours race in January 2020.

The half Italian, half American team from Houston, Texas only did three races in 2019. They started out at Daytona 24 Hours in January, where they finished a very close second. Next start was the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where they finished outside the top-10 in the GTE Pro category, after being hit by quite a few technical issues – perhaps, if only they had done a few more races…

They closed off 2019 by winning Petit Le Mans at the Road Atlanta track in Georgia.

James Calado, Alessandro Pier Guidi and Daniel Serra were behind the wheel on that occasion, but Davide Rigon will be added as a fourth driver for Daytona. You would have a hard time finding anybody else to pedal a Ferrari 488 GTE faster than those four drivers.

Risi Competizione has won their category at the Daytona 24 Hours three times and been on the podium a further four times – in 17 starts.

This is the only race planned for the team in 2020, but they are considering more races.

The Daytona 24 Hours will be run on 25-26. January.
