RWR Eurasia presents two drivers more for the Rolex24

Rick Ware Racing Eurasia has two more drivers for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, which will be run in the last weekend in January.

The American Rick Ware Racing has started a collaboration with Philippines team Eurasia, for running an LMP2 entry at the 24-hour race, where the defending Asian Le Mans Series LMP2-Am Champion Cody Ware was announced as their first driver, a few weeks ago.

He will be joined by Salih Yoluc, who we primarily know from the GTE Am category in the FIA World Endurance Championship, and European Le Mans Series. Yoluc also has LMP2 experiences from Asian Le Mans Series, where he raced for United Autosports in the 2018/19 season. That was however the previous generation of LMP2 cars, that wasn’t quite as fast, as the current cars.

The third driver on the car will be Austin Dillon, who is known from NASCAR. Dillon has won both the Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series championships, and won the Daytona 500 for the big NASCAR racers in 2018. This will be the first LMP2 experience for Dillon.

A fourth driver will be announced in due course.

Dillon is one of (at least) four NASCAR drivers in the field. Jimmie Johnson, who recently retired from NASCAR, will be racing for Action Express Racing in the DPi category. The defending NASCAR champion Chase Elliot will be driving the sister car for Whelen Engineering Cadillac #31, while A. J. Almendinger will be racing for Meyer Shank Racing in an Acura DPi car #60.

The 24-hour race at Daytona International Speedway will be run on 30-31 January, with test and qualifying race being run one weekend in advance.
