ADAC Formula 4 is ready for a season with up to 46 drivers. The previous announcements before Christmas from the organizers sounded like over 50 cars were going to participate, but perhaps some drivers or teams have got a bit nervous and moved to other series instead. Matt Neal leads BTCC after first weekend

Matt Neal has taken the lead of BTCC after the first weekend’s action at the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit. Neal drove an almost perfect weekend with 3rd place in race 1, followed by a 2nd and a 5th. The triple Champion was the most consistent driver of the weekend while teammate Gordon Shedden is 2nd in the Championship after P2 in race 1 and a win in race 2. DTM makes some adjustments to the regulations

The DTM series has decided to make some adjustments for the 2016 regulations. Especially 3 things have a big impact. There will be limitations on the use of DRS, since the effect will disappear if anybody use it at the same time and for too long. Therefore they will put a yet undefined limit on the use of DRS per lap. Most likely it will vary from lap to lap since there is a huge difference between the tracks like Nürburgring and Norisring. Audi wins VLN1

Audi Sport in the shape of Phoenix Racing won the opening round of VLN at the Nürburgring. Dane Anders Fjordbach and German Frank Stippler was the 2 drivers behind the wheel of the white and blue Audi R8 LMS GT3. This was the first general victory for Fjordbach while Stippler took his 12th. They won the race ahead of teammates Laurens Vanthoor and Christopher Haase while Black Falcon Mercedes AMG GT3 with Bernd Schneider, Adam Christodoulou, Maro Engel and Manuel Metzger finished 3rd. Darren Turner will be a very busy man when the first round of the FIA World Endurance Championship and the European Le Mans Series will race at Silverstone in one week’s time.
